Elizabeth Lentz is currently in her first year teaching at Paschal High School, where her primary responsibilities include directing the Symphonic Band, Concert Band II, and the Mighty Panther Marching Band. In addition, she teaches the beginner trumpet and horn classes at McLean 6th Grade Center. Ms. Lentz grew up in Corinth, Texas, and graduated from Lake Dallas High School. She graduated from the University of North Texas in 2016, earning a Bachelor Degree in Music Education. As a trumpet player at UNT, she performed in many ensembles, including the Symphonic Band directed under Dennis Fisher and the Brass Band directed under Dr. Nicholas Williams and Brian Bowman. She was also a three-year member of the UNT Green Brigade Marching Band, serving as a field instructor her final year. Ms. Lentz always loved the marching arts; this led her to Drum Corps International, where she performed with the Troopers (2010-11), Santa Clara Vanguard (2012), and the Blue Devils (2013-15). During her time with the Blue Devils, Ms. Lentz won two Drum Corps International World Championships (2014-15) and served as the trumpet co-section leader in 2015. Ms. Lentz also spent several years as a marching band instructor for DFW area high schools, including Frisco Liberty, Mansfield Legacy, and Hebron. Outside of teaching, Ms. Lentz enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and spending time with friends and family.
