Diana Villafaña,

Color Guard Director

Hello everyone! My name is Ms. Villafaña or Ms. V for short. I was born and raised in a small but also big city known as Mesquite, Texas. I graduated from North Mesquite in 2015 and went off to Navarro College in Corsicana, Texas. There I received my Associate in Arts of Teaching in 2017 and transferred to the University of Texas at Tyler. Here I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish December of 2020.

I have been doing colorguard since my freshman year of high school, just a little over ten years, and have been in love since. I did two years of junior college band and in the summer of 2016, I was offered to march with a DCI Open Class group, The Guardians, that summer, 2017, and aged out 2018. My very first colorguard gig was being a tech for Corsicana High School’s colorguard in 2018. A year later, I was hired as colorguard director at  Sunnyvale High School, where I taught for three years. It is now 2022 and here I am!

I am excited to see what this school year has to offer and continue to grow along with everyone here!
